GE-WY

Australian leather dressing, made to the same recipe since 1945.

Eighty years of the same recipe

GE-WY was established in 1945 by the late George Wyatt, and it is still made to his original family recipe.

It is produced in Paterson, in the Hunter Valley of New South Wales, and manufactured from start to finish in Australia. For eight decades it has held a reputation as one of the finest leather preservatives on the market — among saddlers and stockmen it is the one people ask for by name.

The brand was off the market for seven years. It is back, and TNN Australia stocks the range.

What it actually does

GE-WY is unsurpassed in softening, preserving and waterproofing all leather goods.

Its natural, non-toxic ingredients do not weaken or affect stitching — which is the difference between a dressing that extends the life of a saddle and one that quietly destroys the thread holding it together.

What you can use it on

Saddlery · harnesses · footwear · leather garments · belts · gloves · bags · leather accessories · upholstery · furniture · sporting goods.

How to apply it

  1. Apply evenly to the leather with a soft brush or cloth.
  2. Where you can, let the item sit in warm sunlight — the warmth helps the dressing penetrate faster.
  3. Polish off with a soft cloth.
  4. For aged or dried-out leather, rub in vigorously and reapply until the leather comes back soft and workable.
i
Test first

Always test on a small, inconspicuous area before treating the whole item, to confirm you get the result you are after.
