Liquid trace minerals, organically stabilised so the animal can actually use them.
Mighty-Min® is a liquid trace mineral supplement made in the Ballarat country district of Victoria by Westminster Pastoral Company, and distributed throughout Australia by TNN Australia.
It exists to solve a specific problem. Most mineral supplementation fails quietly — not because the minerals aren’t in the drum, but because the animal never absorbs them.
Trace minerals supplied in the form of oxides are, at best, only 8–10% available to livestock. The rest passes straight through and leaves in urine and faeces.
That is why a deficiency can persist in a herd that is, on paper, being supplemented. The label figure and the absorbed figure are two different numbers.
Mighty-Min® uses organic stabilisation materials — including low molecular weight lignosulphonates and liquid kelp — to hold the mineral ions in a stable, organically separated, bio-available state.
In plain terms: the minerals are kept in a form the animal can take up, rather than precipitating out into an insoluble compound before absorption can happen.
Mighty-Min® Dog goes further again, with three separate and distinct organic stabilisation processes built into its manufacture rather than one.
| Product | For | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Mighty-Min® 6.5 + AD&E | Sheep and cattle | The general-purpose ruminant formulation |
| Mighty-Min® 8.5 | Cattle only | Extra copper |
| Mighty-Min® 9.5 | Cattle only | Hard country, where phosphorus and copper are both low |
| Mighty-Min® for Horses | Horses | Includes Vitamin B12 at 500 µg/L |
| Mighty-Min® Dog | Adult dogs | Not for puppies |
| Mighty-Min® Complex Lick Block | All livestock | Weatherproof, 9 kg and 18 kg, any climate, any feed type |
Mighty-Min® 8.5 and 9.5 contain extra copper and must not be given to sheep. Sheep accumulate copper, and the consequences do not become visible until it is too late to reverse them. Use 6.5 for sheep.

Mighty-Min® is dosed by live body weight, and the interval between treatments stretches as animals get bigger.
Mighty-Min® is not toxic. Dispensed into the drinking water trough, ten times the maximum dose is not considered toxic to the animal. That matters when you are dosing a trough rather than an individual animal and cannot control exactly how much any one beast drinks.
The one hard limit is copper and sheep — see the warning above.
Every animal type has different mineral requirements, and the wrong formulation can do harm. Our guides walk through how to choose.
